About

Hey, I’m Austin, and welcome to the studio!

Austin French Music Lessons has been a dream of mine since I was in high school! I began teaching as soon as I could in 2017 and officially opened Austin French Music Lessons in 2020.

Before opening my own studio, I gained experience through organizations including Guitar Center, Music Together, and private music schools, working with students of diverse ages and backgrounds. Those early experiences helped shape the teaching approach I use today: one that balances strong musical fundamentals with creativity, encouragement, and fun.

I graduated from the University of Washington School of Music where I earned my Bachelor of Music in Performance. During my studies, I received merit-based scholarships and performed as both a solo and ensemble musician. My musical background also includes guitar and voice, though piano has always been one of my greatest passions.

One of my favorite parts of teaching is getting to watch students grow over the years. It’s such an honor and privilege to be part of someone’s musical journey from a young age and see where it leads. Some students continue playing for joy as a hobby, while others join bands and ensembles, start writing their own songs, or even go on to earn music scholarships in college.

I especially love working with kids and teens. Whether a student is learning their very first notes or preparing for bigger musical goals, I strive to make lessons engaging, encouraging, and fun while helping students build confidence, creativity, and a genuine love of music.

I look forward to working with you!
